In a significant development, Dr. Ibrahim Seaga Shaw has been reappointed by President Julius Maada Bio to serve as the Chairman and Information Commissioner of the Right to Access Information Commission (RAIC) for another five years, starting from November 21, 2023.
The Right to Access Information Commission (RAIC) on Tuesday 17th October 2023 held a capacity building workshop for Public Information Officers of MDAs, Journalists and Non-State Actors on the recently enacted Right to Access Information Regulations.
The Right to Access Information Commission (RAIC) today joins UNESCO and other Countries around the globe to commemorate the International Day for the Universal Access to Information (IDUAI). A day that is globally observed 0n 28th September every year, following a resolution proclaimed at the UN General Assembly on 15th October, 2019.
The Right to Access Information Commission (RAIC) in its ongoing series of consultative meetings with Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs) across the Country, provided capacity-building for the leadership and staff of the Freetown City Council on the Right to Access Information Law 2013.
The Minister of Finance Sheku Ahmed Fantamadi Bangura has pledged that his ministry will do the needful to comply with its obligations under the Right to Access Information (RAI) Act of 2013.
