Alan Benjamin - Legal Counsel

 

 

Alan Benjamin graduated with a Bachelor’s degree of Social Sciences in Economics from the University of Sierra Leone in 2007.

He later enrolled for his law degree in 2007 and graduated with LLB (Hons) in 2011 from Fourah Bay College, University of Sierra Leone.

He was called to the bar in 2012 and on completion of his pupilage he has practiced particularly in areas relating to Contract, Commercial Law, Land Law, Family Law and Employment Law.

He has been involved in drafting wide ranging complex international contractual agreements. Alan has also dealt with a wide range of cases concerning adoption, custody and juvenile matters. Alan Benjamin also has a vast experience in defamation matters and has made representations before the Independent Media Commission’s tribunal.

He has a wide experience in labour matters and has also practiced in the Industrial Court of Sierra Leone and has been the focal person at Bmt Law Chambers interfacing with some of our big International Non Governmental Organizations. 

Alan Benjamin has been part of the team at BMT Law Chambers working and preparing pleadings and documents for Arbitration Matters to the London Court of International Arbitration.

Alan Benjamin is currently serving as the Legal Counsel for the Right to Access Information Commission since October 2017.
